Donations of all sizes matter!

🍽️ $2.43 = One hearty and healthy meal for a guest
👝 Two bags of clothing at the Gateway Donation Center = one night of safe shelter
📝 A positive review = an excellent reference for our car detailing program
📘 One book = a chance for our Gateway Addictions and DIscipleship program students to take ownership of their work.
🛻 A truckload of Donations = a student`s journey in our Gateway Addictions and Discipleship Program.

Thank YOU! We are so grateful for our generous community!

Prayer of Celebration! 🥳

About four years ago, while Brandon was living in Las Vegas, he made a difficult decision. He asked his mother in Michigan to take his daughter back to Michigan to live with her. Over the last four years, he has had minimal contact with his daughter. Last weekend, Brandon was on a pass, thinking he would see his mother and a few others but not his daughter. What a surprise he had in store; Mom brought his daughter to Holland! The smile on Brandon`s face Monday morning was priceless. Brandon still has a ways to go, but every day he is better than the day before. Praise be to God that He doesn`t give up on us!

Tom, Frank, and Jason enjoyed connecting with the community at the Crop Hunger Walk this weekend!

The Crop Hunger Walk continues fighting against disease, disaster, displacement and other challenges that leave people hungry. We have an incredible community to help neighbors near and far get the meals they need for today and sustainable food security for tomorrow! https://events.crophungerwalk.org/2023/event/hollandmi

📬 Do you want to Stamp Out Hunger? The National Association of Letter Carriers hosts a yearly food drive to support local organizations. Although the National Association of Letter Carriers may push the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, this is, without a doubt, a community effect to help those in need.

This event will take place on May 20, 2023, and you can get involved right from home! All you need to do is fill a bag and leave it by your mailbox, and your local letter carrier will do the rest. If you live in zip codes 49423 or 49424 this week, you probably received a bag in your mailbox! You can fill these and support local organizations, including Gateway Mission.

A friend of Gateway Mission shares the impact that a supportive community means to him: "I remember standing in line with my Mother on Saturday mornings waiting for that cheese that would never cut evenly. Being that family who needed help. So having the ability to not only help the city block but a whole community is something we can all do to grow strong."

For more information on the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, visit https://www.nalc.org/community-service/food-drive/food-drive-history
