Dutch Colonial Inn Christmas Tour

Join us on December 10 to tour the historic Dutch Colonial Inn. Entrance is by donation only, benefiting Gateway Mission.

The Dutch Colonial Home at 560 Central Avenue in Holland, MI was built in 1928 as a wedding gift. The house was built with excellent materials and occupied by several different families over a period of 56 years. In 1984 the home was purchased by Bob and Pat Elenbaas. Bob and Pat along with their 3 sons moved in and enjoyed their new home. Bob and Pat began purchasing cherry and mahogany antiques which fit the era of the home. A large collection of Ruby Flash Thumbprint Kings Crown enhances the decor. In 1987 2 of their sons married and a year later, May l, 1988 the home became the “Dutch Colonial Inn Bed and Breakfast”. Many guests from the US and foreign countries have entered their doors and enjoy the bed and the breakfast.

Christmas time is a beautiful time of the year and Bob and Pat enjoy the Love and the Joy of the Season. They share that Love and Joy with others and you will see love displayed in their home. A large collection of Dept. 56 Snow Village is set up by Bob and enjoyed during the holiday season. Many trees are decorated with memorable ornaments. Candles in the windows and miniature white lights both inside and out illuminate the beauty of the season.
